I thought it was pretty good overall. there were of course some weak points, but I thought it was a decent effort to make the movie somewhat different than the usual action thriller.

hot tip tbh, only 75min, all set in a hotel, sets up various story and character strands. at first a nice loner noir hangout film then increasingly becomes more of a psych thriller.
Both Robert Wiodmak and Marilyn Monroe star in lots of cool films by cool directors but their actual acting tends to be a bit one note, don't think I ever enjoyed either more, especially Monroe who they were giving space to act for once.

Rewatched this for the first time in I don’t know how long. Still holds up, 90s Gen X h****panic notwithstanding.

No exaggeration, this is one of the best shows I have seen in years. I can't remember the last time I watched something so compulsively rewatchable. It's that good. Check it out if you haven't.

Good pilot episode. I think I'll continue

It's an overall alright revenge thriller. The kills were by far the best part, I think pretty much everyone is going to really enjoy the set pieces here since they are absolutely spectacular and fun to watch unfold. The issue is that they seemed to cut scenes of the best parts (watching Charlie's plans unfold).
Mr robot fans should appreciate this more than the usual movie goer. This feels like post Mr.Robot Elliot lol.
