Is a #tbt post really a hint that he will headline? Itās possible. Rolling Loud is in July so it could fit after him playing the Italian festival in June.

They been hinting hard at either Kanye or him to be headlining so it might happen. If he is then the album def gonna be out around April/May.
How disappointed would everyone be if we waited five years and Kendrick didnāt come out with a crazy, inventive album?

Mildly disappointed, I obviously expect the album to be good, but I donāt blame Kendrick for such a long wait. Seems like we would have whatever album was next if not for the global pandemic. Itās been a couple of f***ed up years for everybody.
The way I like to look at an artists discography is to see if they can maintain an upward trajectory. Meaning each album should be a step up from the previous. To me, Kendrick had an upward trajectory until DAMN. which I donāt consider to be better than Pimp. Thatās obviously a tall order, so if the new record is on par with, or better than, DAMN. Iāll be satisfied.

May have been his creative prime. I feel like the longer he waits to drop, the higher the standard will be from fans. I hope he delivers. We all know he is capable of dropping another masterpiece
Kendrickās next album is his final record with TDE. When did you guys realize that he was ready to leave?
"I don't even know if I would describe it that way as ready to leave, as more so ready to build his own thing. Thatās a grown man right now. We watched him grow from a teenager up into an established grown man, a businessman, and one of the greatest artists of all time. So how long do you actually be signed up under somebody? It's been almost 20 years. So it's time to move on and try new things and venture out. Heās doing a great job developing Baby Keem. It's always been there, but now itās just time and space where he can actually do it. Itās a beautiful thing to watch because that's something that started with what we built in the beginning. To see it blossom, itās a full-circle moment."
Does this make the stakes feel different for his last album at TDE? Does that make anything about the creative or planning process feel different?
"Yes, and no. It's different now just because it's different, not because it's his last project. Itās just the evolution of where we are. Kendrick doesnāt need anybody in the studio to coach him and help him make an album anymore. Heās well capable of doing everything on his own. Itās just the timeframe that weāre in."
