There was never any beef. Them dudes been friends since they were teens and came up in this music s*** together. He even used a concept he and Kendrick came up with in 2015 on a 2021 song and put Kendrick on it. He even did an interview in 2022 and spoke highly of Kendrick and detailed how competitive they all are musically, especially when creating together and how it was growing up.

Kendrick and Dave Free are just in an entirely different creative space, end of story.

Everyone wants different things. Personally for me I would like him to be super strategic.

Mixtape with Drama or
cannon where he just goes crazy.

Then super creative with that rock album that was hinted at.

I think he can pull it off.

People would rather have a trendy album full of hit songs or club bangers that they can play for "the hoes" rather than a deep album that's reflective and conceptually creative.

It's no wonder that Kendrick has hinted at losing interest in rap at times.

Niggas will s*** on Kendrick for putting out an album like this yet, if Kendrick put out DAMN 2.0, they'd accuse him of running out of ideas.

Many rap fans today are more concerned with hits, streams, sales, narratives, and having "song for the b****es" than quality music.

Yeah the production is either really sleepy or just thrown in a blender together. TPAB was like that at times. That's why i prefer Section .80, GKMC and Damn.

All signs point towards a Baby Keem collab since they are both closing out their respective eras. Kendrick moving to New York where Keem frequents (lives too?) adds on to that. This might be the most active we see Kendrick “outside” at the clubs and s***, cause that’s the type of s*** Keem was on, when Melodic Blue dropped, in New York
