    BRAVE

TPAB has sharp live instrumentation, subject matter and lyricism going for it

MBDTF has the better melodies, beats and flows throughout. Might just be about what you value more

some of the beats on MBDTF flat out suck but the album make up for it in the artistic theme and vibe of the whole thing

Like Water For Chocolate is definitely a masterpiece like TPAB.

That album changed how I view Common entirely. But y’all already know that lol.

Rejuvenated his entire career with that one even though he had 2 classics before it

    That Dilla stimulus

It wasn’t strictly Dilla, although he played a key role in it. It was the weirdo energy going on at Electric Lady studios. They made LWFC, Voodoo and Mamas Gun all in one big block of sessions and you can just feel the lighting captured. I’d choose to be a fly on the wall for those sessions Forsure.

Bruh wtf i never knew that

    Crazy

GKMC is definitely my preference if I’m looking for a nice mix of songmaking and going off with pure rapping and flow

I’ll go to DAMN if I want fun songs or even melancholic personal lyrics, but it doesn’t scratch that itch for me with the going off with pure rapping and flow apart from a handful of songs. The rap songs with the top 40 radio flows are still hard tho don’t get me wrong

TPAB for an immersive overalll listening experience

I think tribe and de la lowkey did what they were doing the best along with pharcyde but I’ve grown to appreciate slum latter on they embody an overlooked essence of hip hop that got more refined later on I used to say dilla carried them tho lmao
