KillaSetI agree. f*** that part. standard pharell type s*** that could've been on any artists album to be honest. what sets kendrick's music apart from everyone is how unique how songs are. this chorus specifically was not. also don't know what "floatin on em" has to do with what he says in the verses.
yes! sonically i think the first part of this bridge is pretty lame, while the second part (steppin out when the weight lifts) sounds fine. but both parts (especially the first) don't fit in with the song lyrically. this whole section adds nothing to the song and sounds like filler

WHaaaTFor me it’s the “hyyyydrate, we need to heal” part, I really like the song but I hate the delivery on that line
I actually like that outro including the line you mentioned. but i feel you - this song was really close to being incredible and just fumbled a little bit IMO (it's still very good)
