it depends what you're judging it on. when it comes to hit singles he's one of the most consistent ever.
not everyone wants an album artist. (IYRTITL/NWTS/SFG/WATTBA are decent though)
I always viewed Drake similar to Queen but with an actual classic album or 2. for the most part Queen as a band are known for their hits and not for their albums.
I’m on Die Hard enjoying the album and realized We Cry Together is in a few tracks and already know I gotta skip it

How ballsy would it have been to have Heart 5 on the album and We Cry Together as the promo single
Kendrick seen Zola or sum and said he wanted her to rap on his album? How they get together for this
after listening to this album again today, I feel like this is his most personal album to date. having his wife appear a few times is dope. plus, is his son's name actually enoch? that's cool too

Definitely his most personal by far, and yeah he mentions his daughters name too (Uzzi)

lol never thought of them together in a sentence before
but I get what you mean. most of the time Drake's chasing classic pop songs. Which is a hard thing for an artist to do as many times as he has. He's not trying to follow the Chuck D or early Pac path like Kendrick seems to be a lot of the time. Ye was always somewhere in-between. And then superstars like Jay are able to include a lot of social commentary on albums like RD or songs like 99 Problems and Where I'm From just because of the stories they're telling.
The lack of meaningful content on most Drake albums can make him seem more hollow compared to the other rap superstars. But the songs are amazing and he's not trying to make a TPAB. I'd rather an artist chase hit singles, genre hopping and global collaboration their whole career like he has than reach for an angst that feels forced like Em has on most albums.

couldn't have said it any better
Disc one got a few skips
thought it would originally but ended up loving all of disc 1 now. I think the run from Silent Hill to Mirror is perfect too
United In Grief deadass one of the best intros I've ever heard bruh
there's like 10 segments and they all come together perfectly
would yall ever want a kendrick interview
