This is just me but I don't think it's a selfish album at all or that he's choosing himself over being concerned with the problems of the world.

Obviously the album not got one answer and it's complicated

But I feel like he's promoting therapy, that inward look n the journey he's had to go through confronting his own issues as the most important thing he can do to heal the world. He got that self help guru bruh Eckhart Tolie all over the album. S*** like a self help album for all them people who need therapy but won't / can't get it

He's representing for the people like Kodak . Who was very purposefully chose for the album. He wants to help them overcome their trauma and confront their issues. To break the cycle.

It's not just about Kendrick's journey. It takes an incredible amount of strength and vulnerability to share what he shared with us on this album. He put his own family and their issues out there. That's selfless in my opinion. Him maybe rejecting being out there as a social justice leader isn't him rejecting the world.
