Kendrick really needed to market this album better
Oh you worry bout a critic that aināt protocol
Yeah this damn sure aināt the type of album you send to reviewers a week ahead of release so they have nice reviews ready lmao
Then I caught it and I started to question kyrie
Lmao that's a SAS bar
do I stay organic & stay sick in this bed for 2 weeks?
This s*** hard
N95 seems like such a good opener
When the synths hit
gonna be crazy
The reception to Auntie Diaries has been pretty disappointing mostly, I expected this though.
Niggas still aināt ready to have this conversation it seems.

I think he ends with mirror then does and encore with alright.
Not that it matters or that people care, Iāve been listening to album a lot a writing notes while listening and I can confidently say that not only do I find this album to be Kendrickās most enjoyable album but also his best. Best being subjective, clearly. But it seems fitting that it would be his best. It feels that heās worked his entire life to be able to wax poetics about this subject matter. Infact itās so good to me and so brutally honest that it makes TPAB and DAMN feel disingenuous in its approach and messages.
For example, it feels as if he was putting on a mask and not being as honest and was creating music from a side of himself that was helping cope through his ego and personal problems. Not that those albums are bad because TPAB is historic in its own right but this album re-frames things in such a way that makes the other albums feel disingenuous and not his true self. I feel I can go on for a while while making parallels to quite of things like books or films or art movements that I have enjoyed over the years but it seems clear that this album is trying to lift rap out of a so called āpostmodernā stage and into a metamodern era. Kanyeās discography (arguably Drakes first few albums as well) has helped get to this exact point and itās time we move one to an era of healing. I also feel like Frank Ocean might be on the trajectory with his next album as well even his Christmas special track with iceman hoff are similar.
Crazy that 2 of the worlds biggest artists have released albums with spiritual healing messages makes me confident in a positive direction for art and music. This album has LAYERS. Enjoy it. This s*** doesnāt happen much. Also Father Time, Mother I sober, Aunties diaries are some of the most important tracks written, produced and released in the past 10 years.
I think he ends with mirror then does and encore with alright.
Yeah that'd make sense. That's definitely a song that could be done live, unlike a few that are so obviously not gonna be performed

See what they do for a couple likes from a double tap
Die Hard is nice
Kinda a momentum killer tho
I feel like it should have been after we cry together, but I understand putting it there to kind of lighten the mood
this album has less replay value than DAMN.
You entertain the mediocre need to stop it.

Felt like it was on purpose to help the album breathe because the rest of that s*** is emotional af
