The way I see it, the songs about his growth, maturing, and understanding of the lbgt community in the context of his relationship with his family members. They were kids and didnāt know better, and they didnāt mean anything by using that word. Sticks and stones but words can never hurt us, right? Itās just a word. Plus thereās no ill intent behind his usage, so itās okay right? A common argument
