I think DAMN. is better too but Mr. Morale is still f***ing great. With an artist as amazing as Kendrick, putting one album ahead of another doesn’t mean the lesser album is bad or weak

Damn is definitely an easier, more accessible listen but we gotta let Mr Morale breathe

in the age of internet already feels like we’ve had it for a while but it’s barely a few days old

I love DAMN more than most too. In fact, I think that it gets overlooked simply because of how accessible it is which is silly.

DAMN. is GOATED though

Really don’t wanna get too personal because the discussion itt is amazing and too quick to even keep up with while I’m at work, but that song hits because of my experiences, and the fact that I’ve literally opened up to my Aunt the past few months and she’s told me a lot about my childhood that’s added up…just deep s*** and listening to that track invokes many emotions out of me that I didn’t think was possible for an artist of his magnitude to encapsulate in a song

DAMN. is a really solid album

All I know is this album gives me the same feeling i got when i heard GKMC and TPAB that I didn't with DAMN. Doesnt mean I don't enjoy DAMN or think its great.

U really think the production on here better than damn I would agree if there were more songs like united in grief, worldwide steppers and crown

yeah there’s only like one bad moment on the album. the end of Auntie Diaries, like last 8 bars or whatever. the only flaw.

Yeah this where I’m at. Way too early to call it one way or another. I think the fact that it’s up for debate considering how good how his discography shows that he delivered though

I understand people's issues with damn, but i always connected with the pop songs so it wasnt ever a concern. Not saying this album is trash or good, its legitimately a fantastic album but for me it would be disingenuous to put this album already over damn which ive listened plenty of times for the past 5 years. Not doubting it can surpass it though

Production for sure. The rapping is on par if not better. Never have to worry about that with Kendrick really but he's definitely hitting way more flows here. The themes here are a lot more clear than Damn. I will level with u on the mainstream/pop tracks though. But Die Hard is definitely Kendricks most upbeat track. Even Love wasn't that pop

Hell nah. The way it builds up with the drums and rising strings then drops out to acapella for the cut into Mr Morale and that bass is 11/10
