Damn we did hella pages this week
Thatās some hardcore stanning considering CLB and DONDA arenāt even close to their best work.
Regardless of how you feel about those albums, their discographies didnāt just disappear on release.

When I first woke up: Ready to s***post and troll
First listen: Didnāt like tracks 1-2 that much, but really loved 3-4 and started thinking i liked it
Went through the whole album, still critical but enjoyed most of it
Immediately restarted the album
Listened to it 5 times in a row at work
Drove home and went to the gym and listened to it there
Went for a run and realized i was still listening and vibing to it, and started thinking about the subject matter
Realized itās a classic and i have to hold my L
WGL redemption arc, things you love to see
Kendrick albums ranking:

After watching bobthepopop video and reading the lyrics along with him, Kendrick really did it again man
this album fully realized, full of substance and grows on you like a mf
Regardless of how you feel about those albums, their discographies didnāt just disappear on release.
At some point people will realize that Ye doesnāt need to do his ābestā album anymore
His legendary run is already cemented and he gave us more than enough
Why are people comparing this to donda in the first place
Because Kanye and Kendrick are the two greatest hip hop artists alive
I think he lost a lot of subtlety that existed in his songwriting on those three albums. I understand that mightāve been intentional with the therapy angle, but sometimes on this album it feels like the points being made are being beat over the head
Hm, I get your point. However, I believe it has become quite clear from Kendrick's perspective that his points/subjects/messages have not reached many of his fans (be it casual/passive fans). Another important play in this album is that he is definitely focusing on himself first.
PHARRELL IS A F***ING GOD FIRST HE MURKS THE BEATS ON IAD THEN TURNS & PRODUCES MY FAV TRACK MR MORALE
