I really like the repeating of the tap dancing(or big stepping) in the different contexts

    mr get dough

I feel like his next album will be him going back on his word of putting himself first and giving up on helping the world. I feel like the arc isnt over

I kinda hope he doesn't. This is growth for him. To let this mission of trying to be the world's savior go.

    I like him exploring him

    what does it mean though?

I'm sure it means many things knowing Kendrick, but my takeaway is it represents Dancing around the real issues

  • May 14, 2022

Also Kendrick is preparing for his falloff

That kills me he's preparing himself for the decline. Ig it wouldn't make sense for him to just drop these classics endlessly

  • May 14, 2022

I’d Kodak drop 64 on a Kanye track he might renegade the whole album

ā€˜Stop tiptoeing around the conversation’ i guess its about Kendrick finally addressing and holding himself accountable for his infidelity, and just a therapy induced window into his perspectives on his life

This is exactly what it means. He spells it out a couple times.

The Mr morale side is more centered around himself and his own issues

I have a hunch if the discs were switched it would be better received tbh

At this point it could be the end.

Really could see it being his last or penultimate project

I was thinking about that. It would be one hell of a way to go out

So would that make Mr Morale the holier than thou persona that people expected him to be on the album?

The Mr morale side is more centered around himself and his own issues

That’s what I was thinking. I’m still listening to mr morale but I kinda thought mr morale would be about the issues themselves and his opinions, and big steppers would be about actually dealing with the issues

    That Future shoutout in Savior

You clearly think context matters then. But the convo with his cousin went like this:

Kendrick: I’ve always thought that context matters.
Cousin: But you didn’t like the white fan saying the n word even tho they had no hateful intent.
    Kendrick: I guess I’m a hypocrite.

You say the point of the song is pointing out the hypocrisy of people who use one slur and ban another, right? In the song, he’s using a slur. At the concert, he’s banning another.

So it's really a critique of himself?

It really would. I would be incredibly impressed if he went out
At this rate I see 1 more in 3-5 years and then he calls it a career. I don't see Kendrick rapping in his 40's. He could. But at this rate, I think he's starting to let go of the competitive flair. Cole's about to retire, there's very few actually competing. It's about money only now
