Yeah this isn’t for me at the moment unfortunately. It has good writing and production, an interesting concept and message but I just don’t see myself going back to anything on here.

Good on Kendrick for making an album this personal though, definitely seems like it was therapeutic. I’ll probably spin this down the line and see if my mind changes but yeah I’m a little underwhelmed.

I almost thought the same thing earlier today after 4 listens, but then I listened to TPAB again to test the recency bias and TPAB is absolutely better. I might think it's better than GKMC though

remember when the most popular rumor about the album was that is was going to be rock based

perhaps a hot take, but an album containing an eclectic range of music >>> one long swan song like a Cole album.

They both have their merits, but Ye figured out w/ Dark Fantasy that more range is more interesting to listen to.

But then again does ranking even matter when all 4 of his main albums are easily at the very least 8/10
