doesnt the track start with "this how the world sounds right now" ?
I thought it was his depiction of gender wars on social media nowadays
what part made u think it's about his inner turmoil ?

So I took the "This is what the world sounds like" As Kendrick setting the stage of how he perceived "The Culture" feels about him through the first verse. How angry the "The Culture" is.

The second verse seems like he's lashing out back at "the culture". Specifically how he's reminding "The Culture" all he did for it.

Then the last verse is what made me think it's not really about gender wars but about his inner turmoil with himself about his views on misogyny and how he hasn't done more for women, how he perceived "The Culture" over the last 5 years. These two back and fourth conversations made me go

"Womanizer, got no affection from yo' momma, I see
Don't speak on my momma, the f*** is yo' problem?
That b**** don't like me anyways
B****, she gave you the Honda
And used that s*** to throw it in my face (Man, hol' on, bro)
Find it funny you just can't apologize (This b****, dawg)
Egotistic, narcissistic, love your own lies (Bro)"

    And

"See, you the reason why strong women f***ed up
Why they say it's a man's world, see, you the reason for Trump
You the reason, we overlooked, underpaid, under-booked, under shame"

People saying Kendrick singing voice improved?

    Always been good tbh

It has but you can hear he's been training it. Probably been working with some very skilled singers because he sounds amazing

This album is honestly more like what I was expecting from tpab

it's definitely what I think is a better follow up from tpab

going from having one of the greatest albums of the decade, leaping over the sophomore slump to a several year hiatus without anything and then releasing this?

it would have been much better received first listen i think

This album surpassed my expectations, idek how but this album is just amazing bro.

Does anyone notice the vocal cuts in this album?

I can tell some verses were re recorded or there is cuts in a verse that sounds like it was recorded in a completely different session

Is the “what the f***” vocal sample from someone saying “what the f*** is up Kyle”?

It sounds just like a beat tag my friend used to use
