I am interested to know why Ali didnāt mix this
Album still sounds amazing but itās like when Alex Tumay stopped mixing Thug after so long. Just curious tbh
Yeah, I think that's what it stemmed from which is funny cause I really don't hear overproduction on here at all.
Weeknd example is interesting and I def see how you would feel that Dawn was refreshing after some of his previous stuff.
After Hours was a very much a maximally produced album so following that up with the first song on your album being Gasoline is jarring
absolutely that first listen of Gasoline was so confusing loool but I love that song.
AH was def maximally produced I agree, which itself is a compliment imo because it really suits the murky and slurred vocals,as opposed to the more synth heavy but still lighter and clearer prod on Dawn.
I really don't see how this record is overproduced (assuming its a criticism),really feels layered but not obnoxious and hard to listen which I have like 0 problem with.
If this one is overproduced, what are the other Kendrick records lol?
bottom page has spoken, song trash
Why is trauma such a big theme in our media today
Because art reflects life and s*** ain't sweet.

Expectations can be your worst enemy.
Was this album really 5 year hiatus material

Thought he chose him over being a messiah complex, but I agree thereās other ways then being a messiah but like I said before niggas was writing articles about this man asking where he at.
It makes me wonder how folks looked at artists from the 70s when they were making this type of music. Were they looked at the same way or did niggas realize these folks were just adding their perspective lol
I mean back then we had actual leaders in activism that were worth something....
U'r a real one

is all of your music taste dictated around money and numbers that your checking account never sees?
Itās dictated around music that sounds good to my ear. I thought it was trash and overhyped by KTT. I was wondering if I was in the minority until I saw the sales. I was like oh, they werenāt feeling that s*** either
Why is trauma such a big theme in our media today
We all got it
