May 13, 2022¡1 replykrishna boundi think there's interesting concepts and ideas scattered throughout the 2nd disc for sure lyrically and musically but overall I just dislike it. it's not trash or anything, it just doesn't feel super interesting to me. first disc is wild though imo, to me it feels like he took what he was trying to do on DAMN and mastered that style
i like the album the way that it is and wouldn't change anything but it would have maybe been cool for him to take the concepts in the second disc and put them into a different medium
like a film or something
bc they are great ideas but as you say... as music kind of heavy, not in a dense way either
