@Scratchin_Bandit Great post to address your criticism of the album's message
I actually said his concerns on mortal man are relevant, but different ones than @gabapentin means prolly, listen to the poem
"If I respect you, we unify and stop the enemy from killing us
But I don't know, I'm no mortal man, maybe I'm just another nigga"
Well he found out he was in fact just another nigga, and not a savior, but now instead of naively trying to do all that to change society, he's just focusing on personal growth, and i like the way he addresses his personal issues, but i don't like him saying it's a choice between either being a savior for the people or solely individual growth.. "i chose me i'm sorry" like he said, there's another way that he's missing
But i should listen to kendrick and choose myself and stop arguing itt my friends waiting for me at the bar
This album will never be played outside
I played it outside yesterday, very bad decision
Step up from Damn?
Youāre out of your Damn mind
Hard to say it indefinitely but I do enjoy this more than I did DAMN when it first dropped
āItās bigger than black and white, itās a problem with the whole way of lifeā
What does that even mean
Divisions along racial, ethnic, sexual, gender, and religious lines are exploited to keep us fighting amongst ourselves
Bruh the first 4 of Ye is clearing Kendrick. Respectfully.
Also putting TPAB and Morale in the same sentence as MBDTF is outrageous. Them s***s is not masterpieces. Bruh what. Actually what. Like huh. Nigga I can make a GOOD FRIDAY album better than TPAB and Morale.
GKMC is his crown jewel and none of these other s***s is close. I donāt know why ya act like they are.
Kendrick is better than HIS generation at putting albums together and thatās why he a legend. But na this Morale s*** not anywhere close to being better than any of Ye first 6 albums tbh. Iāll debate Pablo over TPAB and Morale.
I agree! haha
Ye's first 5 are all amazing "MBDTF" is my favorite album oat.
But Kendrick has 2 masterpieces (imo)
I don't turn to them as much as I do with "MBDTF" cause that album's approachable & has replay value.
But from themes, story telling, etc. Kendrick's unfuckwitable.
He's easily top 5 all time after this.
this is better than damn in like almost every way lmao. damn is real good tho
main complaint for me rn is the middle loses me for a bit
:word: which run
This album will never be played outside
nah guarantee I hear rich spirit outside at some point. and purple hearts fasho
Part of that is on him, he definitely played with it especially on tpab
Eh idk tbh I listened to tpab yesterday and I didn't feel it, I think he really shows his weakness in that album and he doesn't try to be better than anyone in that, I think its the total opposite he's constantly saying he's not good and he could do better
I hate using replay value but U is more replay able than We Cry Together lol
One of the highlights for me on the album that first listen was f***ing insane, not playing it round the hoes tho lol
Hard to say it indefinitely but I do enjoy this more than I did DAMN when it first dropped
Iām convinced yāall are insane

Stopped reading at TPAB not being a masterpiece
also i see a bunch of people trying to crack open the over arching message and i just dont think there is one
it's just and album. he def gets more personal than he ever has tho
these kinda reactions are so annoying, luckily kendrick called out these idiot white women on other tracks
Kendrick made you think about it but he is not your savior
Divisions along racial, ethnic, sexual, gender, and religious lines are exploited to keep us fighting amongst ourselves
Lmaoo someone else just gave me a different answer
The ending of We Cry Together also way too predictable. Song was like a Sitcom skit
Yea.. I aināt buying that brodie (no pun intended)
he ain't even write the song so i excuse him

All Facts
SĆ, SĆ, WAIT A MINUTE
VEN AQUĆ, C'EST LA VIE
you dead just asked him to make a album to uplift mfs
I didnāt say make an album or even a song.
Homie didnāt say anything at all. Which is fine. Nothing wrong with that.
All Iām saying is NoName lowkey got niggas rejecting the black savior s*** they did kind of lean into before
Iām convinced yāall are insane
Iāll be honest I really canāt explain it but this album definitely more interesting if nothing else
