For the Auntie song, I didn't find it controversial given the context and narrative of the song, but its also not me who would feel outraged by it so sometimes you just gotta defer and listen to the people who would feel a way about such a song. i imagine its nuanced too and not a monolithic reaction.
seemed like the auntie was the ultimate big stepper and the cousin was the ultimate spiritual morale person.
Iām sorry breh if any marginalized group can relate to offense on a slur itās really us
Macklemore did the same s***, got praised for it
People love hearing the authenticity of rappers and their story telling, but when they get too true now itās offensive?
I feel u on deferring to the offended but offense does not mean moral correctness
it's a whole ass play, it makes sense to tour this album
Itāll be interesting how he structures the show. Is he gonna intertwine songs from GKMC/TPAB/DAMN within the show narrative?

Where the f*** was Florence on this
I feel like Denzel Curry pulled off a similar album, he just doesn't give as much info about his personal life and he not as big as Kendrick so he not getting the praise he also deserves
Denzel is mad underrated his discography is great
after my second lesson I just have to say it
this album is most definitely the āMr.Morale & the Big Steppersā of Kendrick Lamar albums
like niggas was giving em hell for a song pre-twitter days dissing black women.
Let Eminem make a song called "Nigg.r Diaries" and watch the entire black conglomeration try to get him outta here
looked outside my window and its not looking good yall, streets not listening to this album
Lol
Get off your high horse
Theres a reason Kodak is all over this project. Its almost like you skipped over the themes all over the project to just dismiss him like that.
Saying
"I have a hard time believing anybody who likes kendrick can like Kodak"
is CRAZY
One song though when youāve done every project? Matt Schaefer and Michelle Mancini are on that song as well and they mixed/mastered this project
He did 6 songs on The Melodic Blue. Schoolboy and Ab-Soul are both in album mode too. I doubt he's sitting on his hands. Did whole albums with Dreamville guys
Donāt worry. Yāall got 5 years to catch up
Starting tomorrow
Album is God Tier
I didn't skip around it or skim it. I only skipped the interludes cuz they never interest me regardless of who the artist is and Mother I sober because I wasn't in the mood for a song like that
you skip Drake's interludes? Zack I'm disappointed in you
man smh no one comes to florida anymore for tours
itās only the old ass country artists that come down here and s*** smh
Let me make purposefully unenjoyable music (what people listen to for enjoyment) š¤
Your definition of enjoyment is subjective
