Me listening to kendrick and his wife have an argument for 6 minutes

The biggest difference between kendrick and ye situation is that kodak has already had his redemption. Did time and people moved on. Kanye was pretending to be jesus while picking manson in the middle of sexual assault allegations, he picked up dababy while the concert s*** was still fresh.
You can say both wrong for putting these people on tracks but they wrong for different reasons truly
"Did his time" by paying Trump for a pardon
Kanye, Kendrick, and Weeknd albums all fire
we are so lucky
i should have said 4 because i do group Abel into the other three but hehehebe
What is so special about the Drake and Kanye line. I could've wrote that
Context
Yeah as a Cis person. I didn't quite understand what the "Message" of that track was, Other that that he has a family member who is trans, I think it's him saying he doesn't give af who his family is, that's family.
I rather liked the track. but there may be some tings I didn't pick up on or I'm missing.
just like a lot of his community as a kid, he didnāt understand it, they felt there was only one way to react, but he grown and educated now
simple as that lol

Oh here we go

What about you?
Iām happy to hear sheās okay now bro
surely this track with the f bomb never getting played live
Kendrick kisses a man on stage before each performance, giving him 15 minutes of 'Can Say It' time
another 5/5 already

its difficult for me to finish this album tbh
Yes bro. She is doing well. What did you think of the album?
i am kind of in awe
tbh i don't think it's just haters, even Kendrick fans are legitimately divided on this
divisive classic tbh
Music that makes u think and form ur own opinion
My only complain is that if he made Kodak say the f word it wouldāve been more powerful and wouldāve felt more organic
Actually correct lol
How you feeling
i loved the production. didnāt pay too much to the lyrics cuz i was f***ed up lol
When you do get a feel of how it made you feel can you post in here. Iāve spoke to a few trans folk and it seems like everyone is receiving it differently.
i guess i'll start by saying i do get what he was trying to go for with the storytelling, like it's meant to be this tale about growing up, maturing, and understanding intentions of words that you learn just by being around people as a kid, as well as not letting things you don't understand prevent you from caring about them
but the way he tries to tell this story is just so ... unnecessary?? i feel like he could've gotten what he wanted to get across just the same without spouting the f-slur like 10 times
i do get why he did it but it doesn't feel warranted. plus the fact that he seemingly is fine with his aunt (now uncle) being trans, but his cousin mary-ann is still referred to with he/him pronouns, as well as deadnamed multiple times
if this is his attempt at normalizing transgender people in hip-hop, he did a really s***ty job at it, honest
I sent my sons mom We cry together and she said
āFuck you niggaā
I responded āfuck you b****ā
I love that woman.
If you go on the YouTube video for that interaction with the white girl saying the n word at his show, the top comments are saying that he handled the situation wrong. Is it really so wrong to think maybe he should have just let her rap the verse instead of embarrassing her while the crowd booed? I think itās an incredibly nuanced situation, but even to pose the thought⦠am I wrong for that?
How is the general perveption for this album?
I donāt use social media anymore
Divisive, especially for a Kendrick album
