Sampha really made 10/10 tracks with Kendrick, Kanye and Drake
and Solange
and Frank
Hey bro. Would love to hear your thoughts so far.? I know itās early.
on my third listen
could see this being my favorite kendrick album I love it
Kendrick said āstraight people saying the f word is as bad as white people saying the n wordā then proceeded to say the f word various times
is Kendrick saying he shouldāve let that white girl rap the lyrics with him?
i guess hes pointing out his own hypocrisy
and hes wrong imo
calm down lmao
No question about it. Mr Morale is King
Listened once last night off a doobie and I was blown away by this s***. Excited to listen again, I know thereās a lot I probably missed. So much going on here itās wild
niggas let the "ignorant" rappers slide because no one had any expectations from them in the first place. Which in itself is f***ed up on our part. It's the reason why people let Kodak get away with talkin bout dark skin women (ANOTHER thing that the rapper that made "compexion" I'd like to know how he felt bout that) or Lil Wayne get away with saying beat the p**** up like Emmett Till but meanwhile never let Donald Glover or Tyler move on from the dumb s*** they said to decades ago.
Kendrick (and a looooot of conscious rappers) DO spend a lot of time in the past telling us that they do have the answers. He himself said repeatedly "I wanna be like Nelson" like 1,000 times. It's one of the reason Pathetic Pixels (legendary ktt1 user) hated TPAB. The older I get I see why.
Them realizing they don't have the range and saying that doesn't mean they didn't aid in putting themselves on that pedestal they so despised in the first place.
....I honestly don't know when Cole became that "figure." Like, part of me think it's light skin privilege plus the locs that made people go deaf at the fact homie used to be one of the most misogynist rappers on the planet lol. But niggas killed him because of all the things going on in the world, you wanna address a shawty tone? Something that women already gotta go through constantly?
The thing is even on that same song where he said repeatedly "I want to be like Nelson" he also acknowledges that he's not perfect on that song either.
"As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression"
"When s*** hit the fan, is you still a fan?
When s*** hit the fan, is you still a fan?
Won't you look to your left and right? Make sure you ask your friends
When s*** hit the fan, is you still a fan?"
I listened to that whole song recently and it's interesting cuz he kinda echoes the same sentiments there in between the grandstanding.
And yea people killed Cole, but folks act like Noname (no matter how well intentioned she was) kinda pulled a weird "where's Ja" moment in the middle of them BLM protests when Cole has showed up for s*** in the past lol
Only review that matters
@python has spoken
Wrap it up
Daddy issues def hit close to the chest. Cause pops is a b**** ass niggas forrea. F*** him.
yes lol that's why he specifically said white girls
it seemed like the message was that he shouldnāt have said it for the same reason he didnāt let her say the n word, but then he goes on to say the f word various times, directly contradicting himself
Not even Kendrickās best
Best I ever heard
How you feeling about the album so far?
love it tbh but I personally like when artist go left with their music. only 2 songs that are meh to me.
forsake know this going to be divisive to many ppl
Bro, I'm literally just trying to have a conversation, why are you so defensive? I never said anything offensive and I have lots of respect for LGBTQ+IA community, I'm just trying to understand more.
Ok my apologies bro. I completely get what he was trying to do what he knew what he was doing by dropping the f bomb. I promise you he could have really made an incredible song if he would have just left that part out. The fact that he does it repeatedly "ironically" is beyond stupid.
The only reason he felt bold enough to use it is because he knows there would be room for interpretation because of who he is and the music he makes. The doesn't mean he gets a free pass to say whatever he wants to say for the sake of "artistic freedom"
This is right in line with the thinking that says even hate speech should be considered freedom of speech. Its like saying Trump has a right to call mexicans criminals and rapists or black protestors thugs because he is just "expressing" himself
Ultimately he just does more bad than good no matter the intention
King Kunta was not no club banger. Can ya stop lying about TPAB in 2022 please
Iām not saying it was made intentionally as a club banger but both those two songs were played heavily in the clubs where I was.
btw, CARDO CONTINUES TO PROVE HES ONE OF THE BEST PRODUCERS IN HIP HOP. SAVIOR IS INCREDIBLE
I only listened through 1.5 times chill on me
that aint meant really for you.
Niggas in this thread throughout the whole night talkin bout "are they in an open relationship" like....bro he talked bout how hurt Whitney was all over that track lmfaooo

This man looks like he petrifies the hoes, fitting that heās on here
Sampha really made 10/10 tracks with Kendrick, Kanye and Drake
Maybe he's the best of all of em
Beat is in another universe
Keem the future goat
You listen to something like Pink Panties and N95 and you canāt deny his skill behind boards
