The whole point is that he's a guy with a new family that's just trying to be sane in a world f***ed by a pandemic, a potential nuclear conflict/ww3, all the ongoing racist bullshit, etc.

_ _Did 'We Cry Together' leave a bad taste in your mouth after hearing it? I get the self-indulgence is a main thing of this album, but that song just sticks out.
