Haven't listened yet but I've read the lyrics and im conflicted but overall I think it's a pretty good message just could've been worded better BUT that's how cis people generally do when they want to do something right about trans issues
Real.
This is what i said to another what i assume is another trans person that was itt but upset at it & fighting with other users. Also my general thots on it too:
"Well he isnt trans, hes talking from an outside perspective & him getting to grips with his family member and breaking old habits/misconceptions he has.
An outsider perspective on something will never be 100 percent satisfactory tho to those on the inside, that goes with anything.
Song just comes off as him getting to terms & thinking about it deeper. I dont think its meant to be a grand statement, at least how i took it. Just a reflection on the situation & how it became "real" to him since its personally affecting him. A lot of people cant understand/think of things until it directly affects them, or they know of someone that is going through it.
But trans people should also feel how they want. Dont let anyone on the outside tell you that the inside is wrong when it comes to things about the inside. The outside will never truly understand."
I do think cis people will take it out of context too to either bash him, or bash trans people.
And i also think trans people of course have the literal right to feel how they want individually about a song/topic that involves them. Those on the outside telling those that are upset n part of LGBT+ that theyre overreacting or whatever should be ignored.
“He’s not saying any of his perspectives are right, hes just saying they’re his”
I mean, what does that accomplish messaging wise?
Music is self expression I thought? That feels first priority here, and of course the music can be relatable to people who share his perspectives and cause discussion about the things he talks about.
why they suddenly h**** st the end im crying
Track can be summed up as 'Can't live with em, can't live without em!'
why they suddenly h**** st the end im crying

That's why this s*** reminded you of Eminem. This album is uprooting Racism in a way we've never seen.
crown touching my soul rn
I literally was just not even thinking of it from the perspective of smaller artists getting f***ed over. I totally agree with you, that the music industry is a leach on musicians. I was actually just dumb and didn’t think through what I wrote. I can tell you’re very emotionally mature, and in terms of hostility, there’s many on this site that have you beat by a wide margin. It can be addicting to tell someone they’re wrong. What one has to be careful of is why you’re doing it. Is it just being a human, sharing opinions, being honest… Or is it because there’s a part of you that actually wants to feel superior. I do it for the wrong reasons at times. I think most people do. But it’s something to be aware of. Anyways, I’ll give u a follow. If you ever have any music you want heard, always feel free to let me know. 🤙
