True I guess I just wonder what his reaction is when he hears some s*** like this as an artist, he has to feel less than in that sense (I mean as much as the biggest rapper on the planet can feel lesser)
I think Drake has just given up that battle with someone like Kendrick but one area he can always win is making songs that are easily accessible and more successfully mainstream. his Melodys are his power, he's a songwriter in his DNA.
Kendrick is a storyteller deep down and he makes great decisions in shaping a certain sound to fit his narrative, which is why each album sounds distinct from each other but still cohesive
Okay just learned to worldwide steppers
Why did he make a confessional to f***ing white women
S*** made me uncomfortable for him lol
Because the exaggeration of him being hardcore "pro black" like some louis farrkahn s*** that some people try to stick on him, imo
Also its a guilt/hangup some black people have in general
Fits the overall theme of the album
Kendrick Lamar is what white people listen to feel like they have a sense of superiority against black issues.
Everybody in this thread is white and ready to retake their liberal throne

Wrong album to post this, hardly any political topics on here.
6pm in New York has the smallest social commentary with that police line and then he just dipped on that s*** lmao
S*** is just disappointing bc It feels like drake still has a barrier of creativity/artistry he hasn’t and maybe won’t tap into
Agree
It’s frustrating because he obviously has that kind of potential like he’s a really great writer and artist
He just chooses a different path
But once you come to terms with it and take out the expectations of him trying to reach his artistic potential his music is still good
This cover alone should say enough
I’ve got so many theories and suspicions
Worldwide Steppers is beautiful
Next time I f***ed a white b****, was out in Copenhagen
Good kid, m.A.A.d city tour, I flourished on them stages
Whitney asked did I have a problem
I said, "I might be racist"
Ancestors watchin' me f*** was like retaliation
what did kendrick mean with this mitchy? is he being literal about f***ing the white b****? or its an a***ogy
Talked on the phone with a white friend about their opinion on the album and fans like them are the exact reason Kendrick did what he did on this
which is funny bc they still liked it! Kendrick cannot shake the white folks off his d*** no matter what he tries lol
What they say
tell me you never listened to radiohead without telling me
um
Radiohead is one of my favorite bands
Last time Kendrick dropped this is what the site looked like

the predictions are killing me
Big take aways:
If the reference tracks hadn't leaked the Baby Keem ghostwriting accusations would be flying rn
Fr
On more listens I'm not fuming so much that one of the GOAT rappers spends half his album singing
But man I want more s*** like Worldwide Steppers. He bodies that beat
Not feeling it? Throughly enjoying this so far.
Kendrick isnt gonna get enough credit for how much of this is humor because people take him so literal
Like you dont think Kendrick realizes how funny that white b**** s*** sounds
plus the abrupt way We Cry Together and Aunties Diaries ended
This album definitely has an irreverent vibe to it
some people wanna make everybody feel like they came out the p**** talking about 'I never said a slur or deadnamed or misgendered people idk who brought you up'
Kendrick Lamar is what white people listen to feel like they have a sense of superiority against black issues.

Have i went back in time to the TPAB release thread?
I can tell this is Kendricks favorite album he ever made
Trust me bro
Tru but i don't think it's just the reception of tpab tho
He genuinely thought he would have more of an impact on the world more than he really could
I don't think he's become apathetic but he def coming to terms w that reality tho
his generation definitely part of that last generation of "singular leader" mindset type.
It makes sense.
