I saw someone mock people who pointed out that Kendrick was showing growth through lyrics.
They laughed and said āThis isnāt Shakespeare or English literatureā
And like, why not? Crazy that all this time has passed and people still donāt respect Hip-Hop as an art form on the level. They put European culture on a pedestal though
Crazy how the A level big names keep on missing recently. CLB, Donda, Donda 2, Push and Future's albums and now this garbage.
Also for those offended by the f bombs on Kendrick album Iād highly advise to never visit an inner city in NY or watch the CC show on IG
Canāt please everybody
Theyāre engaged
I need another listen lol could've sworn he has lyrics talking about 'Whitney is a free woman by the time you hear this' or something
Will we get a deluxe edition? Hope we do tbh
lol
Will we get a deluxe edition? Hope we do tbh
I canāt see that happening tbh
So can we say this album is more a musical ?
Bro what are these takes
No it's an album
that's his girls name.
I'm guessing during the making of the album they was bout to break up.
https://twitter.com/bu_media/status/1524941113852829706seems like they worked through it though.
dj not playing the album at the party thats for sure
i'm not sure if you mean like the outlier track but knife talk way more outta place imo
knife talk is definitely more the outlier but the fact kendrick is emulating his younger counterpart (keem) with a standout kodak feat
drake was obviously emulating 21 flow on knife talk
not seeing anyone talk about the production but it's fire
I guess bc Kendrick is someone I listen to for message / lyrics on first listen. but I love the beats on this album
Die Hard is a smacker
Blxst deleted his account or something but he slid on that track
Not close to being one of my fav kendrick albums musicially but when compared to other rap albums being released this is so f***ing interesting. Def some skips / boring moments for me personally though
Yes
look when I saw AM description and saw that song was about gender I was like uh oh but seems like fairly realistic approach to how lot people react to trans folk like it or not.
it's honestly a really refreshing POV on viewing the LGBTQ community, it's very honest
it's a lil misguided in a cute way it's like

kendrick gave me gkmc and you say he cant call me the f slur?
I need another listen lol could've sworn he has lyrics talking about 'Whitney is a free woman by the time you hear this' or something
Itās a video of them dancing at the album release party my g
actually, youāre right. itās not āpro-trans.ā
itās just a song about His uncle and his cousin, both of whom are Trans and he details his experience of their transitioning and comes to a personal understanding of his own past casual homophobia and that present in the church he attends with his cousin, thus deepening his connection with āhumanity.ā
I mean... the way he went about it?

3rd Listen

dj not playing the album at the party thats for sure
Did you like it Ricky?
If u donāt f*** with this what releases this year u got better than this? Lol
first impressions so this can change but Few Good Things I'm putting above this as of now.
Because youāre the one who said it
The production on that song is immaculate
Its more like an Andre Love Below sorta song than Eminem i get ur saying bc em uses the fast flow but so does Andre
kendrick is just rapping like him
Another new sound from the goat
Appreciate him while heās here folks cuz he wonāt be doing this forever
bro i donāt know bout yāall but this album is missing MELODIES. I just wanted some money trees/bitch donāt kill my vibes songs and feel good music for the summer but this album isnāt delivering any song like that. I get the artsy aspects and all the important topics he speaking on but itās just not for me. These polarizing discussions be everywhere nowadays ion need them to be so present in the music aswell idk. Not for me.
