He wasnāt being himself fully, he was playing it safe as crazy as it seems and we didnāt really know Kendrick
I don't even think that's the case/nor was he playing it safe.
TPAB is the least personal of all his projects (which says a lot, cause u is still heartwrenching to this day). And during that time remember he was going through a transformative journey coming back from SA too.

Kendrick at the same point in his career that Em was when he dropped Relapse, also after a 5 year hiatus
Thatās wild but supports my feeling that a lot of the guys we grow up on are the in later years of their career and will either start going on long hiatuses or see serious decline in subsequent releases
And u can kinda see that now with certain artists.2012-2017 was the peak amd we didnāt even know
