The deadnaming.
Misgendering.
Saying slurs that aren't his.
It is crazy how y'all are defending this on the basis of intentions tho.
Genuinely crazy.
Have you ever seen that video of the guy yelling at his dog and saying nothing but loving things and the dog is scared
Then he says in the sweetest tone ever how he hates his dog and he's gonna kill him and eat him and the dog is all happy
Idk how to tell you this but intention is literally everything in this world
Its binary: 1 or 0, love or hate
tl;dr: take a f***ing chill pill
Will say I didn't like the album veering into 4:44 territory in the first half with the cheating-accountability stuff
So much to unpack with this album. I'm sure this album will divide a lot of people but damn I enjoyed this a lot
If Kendrick called out the Trans movement he’d really have actually said something risky for once. Auntie Diaries is pro-lgbt. Just like all his beliefs, he’s heavy mainstream left.
This isn’t an unfair take after this album
Kendrick is just as republican as Kanye with these bars
Kanye f***ing dreams of articulating the perspective Kendrick does on this. I disagree with a ton of that perspective, but he succeeded in communicating it for a greater purpose and message that’s a lot more understandable: just being tired of all this bullshit and letting go. I don’t love the method, but I do love the execution and the artistic statement
Hasn't Kendrick been like the most pro-mask rapper? Like he's been wearing a mask throughout the pandemic.
Yeah and his bars on here are also pro vax not anti vax these people just have no reading comprehension
kendrick basically dropped a peak eminem album
A better Marshall Mathers LP. Futuristic.
The cover depicting an American nuclear family with the songs on this album is crazy fr
this makes Damn sound uninteresting as f***
I thought this was a polished damn
I'm not even a Kendrick person, but this album is f***ing amazing
