bad example, the whole theme of DAMN. ties into being able to play the album from front to back or back to front while reaching the same conclusion. wickedness or weakness. whether you die trying to help somebody (weakness) or die in a gunfight (wickedness), fate is inescapable. he never used the words "secret message." kendrick isn't creating false meaning out of his work, it's all there.

Nice observation but you’re putting words in kendricks mouth by saying the “whole theme” ties into playing it front to back. Great artists make albums and songs that sound like complete, universal, and coherent thoughts. Kendrick did that and then sold the album w the reverse track listing because the fans wanted it.

You’re gunna sit here and tell me the reverse order is as coherent or lucid as the regular order? You're saying it’s “all there” so I’d love to know what about the entire body of work makes the narrative as applicable back to front as it is front to back outside of the story and ending of Duckworth.

I really struggle to understand how some of y’all are triggered by people trying to develop theories and showing emotions listening to music. Like Kendrick literally said he wants people to do that, to be involved and actively consume his art. Some theories are probably more far-fetched I agree, but let people look for answers and meanings, its part of the fun.

The only thing thats bad are people deeming themselves as more intelligent or belittling others for „not getting” the song or the video or whatever. These are often a******s but it happens with every great artist. The music, at the end of the day, is fantastic.
