Widows (Steve McQueen) McQueen brings his craft to a familiar B-level heist story but elevates the genre. Well acted and had a couple memorable scenes.
7.5/10
I’m watching Marriage Story rn and this is A LOT. This mans Adam Driver on his hands and knees full crying. Love is dead.
Yeah bro, that was incredible and dark.
Check out The Ascent (1977) it was made by Elem’s wife, Larisa Sheptiko. She only made 4 movies before dying in a car accident.
It’s surreal how two of the most darkest Russian war movies were made by a couple.
Broooo i will. Thanks for the rec
idk if im ready for that rn though
how do i display my movies like that

-aubrey
the stalker psycho role is right up her alley
didnt think id like it cuz it seemed like a dumb teenage movie but i actually enjoyed it and wanna find more like it. nice to watch when you dont want anything too serious
Gemini Man
Went in with literally zero expectations, hell even some worries cause no one be talking about it
Turns out movie was lowkey absolute a blast, plot stays on the low never goes over the top
Cinematography definitely helps it as it looks so natural and real, no filters or saturation, also watched this in 4K s*** was too clean man, some shots were intriguing also, gave me some Mann vibes sometimes
Action was extremely tight, some M:I feels but even more grounded, but as well choreographed and original
CGI was impressive
Was the bad guy Steppenwolf? looks like him
Ending had me with a big grin on my face “what? Please you wish!”
Man I should check out more Ang Lee movies huh? who would’ve thought

Uncut Gems & Richard Jewell if you haven't seen either of those yet.
Also, if Parasite or A Hidden Life is still playing in any theaters around you then def go check those out ASAP (particularly the latter).
