My ratings are outdated
Trying to watch one movie per day this year. 3/3 so far. I also rate my films out of 10:
Very shocking and disturbing but also realistic horror movie. Highly recommend, but go in blind if you watch. 8/10.
Sometimes slow but relatively solid character study/thriller. Carried heavily by Edgerton and Harris’s performances. 7/10.
Rebecca Hall is Oscar level here in a truly saddening character study. Worth the watch just for her performance alone. Recommend also going in blind since this one is based on a true story. 8/10.

Still didn’t peep 😭 I promise I will
I actually ended up watching Grand Budapest Hôtel last night.
I Wanna Dance With Somebody
7/10
Don’t feel too strongly about it either way. The way they weaved her hits into the movie was cool. Bobby Brown was a straight villain in this. Naomi Ackie did well too
LOVED this film. The cast was phenomenal, the writing was snappy, the costume design was beautiful, this whole thing is the definition of the word entertaining. Makes me wanna dive into the rest of Guy Ritchie’s filmography since I’ve only seen a few of his films. 9/10.
Loved how tense and ambiguous this was. Cinematography was breathtaking and I like that the story is up to multiple interpretations rather than laid out for the viewer. The main three cast were amazing and this further cements my appreciation of Steven Yeun as one of my favorite actors today. Another 9/10.

If you liked The Gentlemen, check out "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels" from Ritchie next

Those were the next two I was gonna check out from him. Appreciate it

Usually a fan of Shane Black and his style but this one was just okay, didn’t really do much for me. The mystery wasn’t very interesting and the comedy didn’t really land for the most part for me, but still somewhat of a semi-entertaining watch for Gosling & Crowe’s chemistry. 6/10.

Utterly brilliant. Been meaning to watch this for years just never got around to it, can’t say much more about this that hasn’t already been said though. 9/10.

on rewatch im starting the think blow out is one of the greatest american movies

The Wailing
