  • Jul 24, 2022

Order of the Phoenix had so much more potential. Critical lore moments are completely absent.

    thank you g!

No problem! Like I said I can list more off from Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+

If you enjoyed Seven I HIGHLY recommend a movie called Prisoners if you haven’t seen it already

    Other than that enjoy

    6/10

was looking forward to this because drive is one of my fav movies oat (same director) but this one fell short. style over substance, saved by the performances of the actresses & cinematography. the plot of beauty being currency and the cut throat nature of the entertainment industry has potential but for me, this missed that mark

starting that list this week @ovomafia

final day of my Harry Potter marathon.

Gonna watch both Deathly Hollow movies back to back.

    I've always loved Part 1.

edit: Harry Potter and Everybody Dies

Edit 2: Dobby's design in Chamber was better

edit 3: rest in peace you free elf.

    What’s your ranking rn?

    SKYKILLA

    What’s your ranking rn?

tbh that's very hard. I have a lot of nostalgia for all of them as I literally grew up watching them real time.

but ofc I'd still rank them.

    Deathly Hollows Pt. 1
    Half Blood Prince
    Prisoner of Azkaban
    Goblet of Fire
    Chamber of Secrets
    Sorcerers Stone
    Order of the Phoenix.

I could probably shuffle stuff around but I think in terms of pure book to movie satisfaction I'd put it at that.

Watching them all though this cast really was perfect for their roles.

Order of the Phoenix is dead last to me because of what I mentioned before Pretty sure it's the shortest movie but has the longest book. They made it too focused on the teen romance at parts.

Keeping the Tom Riddle memories out is a huge misstep. I remember reading the books and being shocked it wasn't included.

I can give pass to the house elves storyline and that one poltergeist never making an appearance.

Deathly Hollows is just so well done and acted. It's a perfect send off imo.

gotta watch the last part still.

got me wanting to read the books again too.

they've reiterated throughout all the Harry movies he has his mothers eyes and they FLUB it in the last movie. how hard was it to hire an actress with blue eyes. the adult version of Harry's mom even has blue eyes as well.

    such a poor oversight.

My entire theater was laughing hard at that. I couldn’t believe that was Bubble from Absolutely Fabulous though. Great range.
