You're not even watching his best films like Breaking the Waves, Dancer in The Dark, Melancholia and Dogville .. maybe he is for you, or maybe you have seen those and I'm just assuming you haven't.

Orbison told Lynch no when he asked permission to use that song but Lynch went and used it anyways which led to a big career resurgence for Roy just before he passed away

This was a great flick but also I love cats I understand it was a cull but still

I'm not the biggest Korine fan at all, but Gummo is a clossic. Such an unusual and surreal tribute to the American heartland, flaws and all. Timeless really.

Saw an interesting comment about the cats saying they were a metaphor for "innocence" makes sense when you think about it

Dancer in the Dark was my intro, one of my favorite movies ever, I’ve only caught his ifc stuff since, which I can’t shake the feeling of there being some element of personal fantasy involved in those (the ones I’ve seen) idk

Europa is his best feature film imo tbh. Especially since it's not so heavy on the heart-strings and indulges rather in a more ominous and darker mood and atmosphere. Not to say I don't like his tougher melodramas but they can be a bit too on-the-nose even though the Dogme-rules create an effective distance to the highly melodramatic stuff.
