Inglorious Basterds
Such good tension throughout the whole thing. Christoper Waltz really shined throughout. Each act is so good.

Greener Grass (2019)
If you like weird ass comedy, like that stuff u find on Adult Swim, then you should definitely check this out. We need more comedy like this in cinema.

watched league of gentlemen (really cool flick) before they did that heist collection thingy
but yeah, as for italian job, wasn't suuuper keen on it. it had its moments but it felt kinda dull and dragged for the most part for me. twas OK but i don't really see why it's considered to be one of the best british films
yup i jus decided to watch all of em

Spartacus isn’t „great“ but it still very good. And there’s just something special about epics. The whole feel. Goes double for the actual great epics.
Id definitely have a bit different ranking including putting some of your highest ranked films toward the bottom. But Kubrick is one of those directors where that happens a lot
Trendsetter :yechoice:
Actually put League of Gentlemen on my watchlist because of that crit thing myself.
Agreed on it not being a good representative for british film. Not even the heist was good... And everything else was bad too.

Swiss Army Man....
Umm... i don't know what to think lol. Don't think I'll ever watch it again but it was cute. Just very bizarre haha.

The Piano Teacher (9/10) and Caché (8/10) were both f***ed up, Michael Haneke is an interesting guy. I think I like him. Piano Teacher was very Bergman esque, even more so if shots were edited to follow more tightly. I want to say that Caché was Tarkovsky like, maybe particularly like The Mirror. More grounded, less fun in that way. More eerie too. I usually get some ‘entertainment’ out of experiencing/responding to even disturbing film content, but his films test my limit. Maybe for the best
