Doctor Sleep

Great thriller with interesting characters and build up, based on a book of the same name which is a sequel to The Shining. It has a more "Stephen King" feel than a Kubrik feel but they did make a lot of references to The Shining movie.

The main character is Danny as an adult, he was very fleshed out and so was the rest of the cast. I personally enjoyed the build up and the "little character moments" the most.

Also the thriller/mystery was dark and effective, a lot of scenes left me trembling, not even the "jump scare" scenes.

It fell off a bit in the third act (which was too silly/fan-service imo) but I still really enjoyed myself.

Overall very good movie - 8/10
