    Virgin Suicides 9/10

Sofia Coppola birthed a lot of these niggas fr (greta gerwig cough), also we not gonna talk about her spike jonze dropped one of the best films of the 2010s by finessing one of her films and basically cranking up her style x3

Imagine having yr debut be this stylish and having yr directing touch so developed already

Felt like a film youd see from a lotta of current indie directors but it came out in 99 and the cinematography is so ๐Ÿ”ฅ

    So ahead of its time

one of the very few films (especially for the 40's) where almost every scene is jaw droppingly creative and unique

Just got around to seeing this, Iโ€™m stunned at how they pulled this off in the 40s. Super imaginative, creative with beautiful colours & staging. Loved the story too.

Just felt the trial was a tad bit too long

The Girl Who Knew Too Much (1963)

What Have You Done to Solange? (1972)
you should see where the murderer sticks his knife in here

    Don't Torture a Duckling (1972)
    absolutely brilliant

The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970)
ehh i've felt indifferent towards almost every Argento film that i've seen, the music's good though, usually the highlight

Short Night of Glass Dolls (1971)

I saw opera recently i liked that one though, the loud trashy rock playing during the kills was really fun

and yeah def Bava is amazing, love many of his films

haven't seen quite place in the country yet, i'll def mix that one in with the other couple giallos i'm watching tomorrow
