Tokyo Stories by Francisco Tristano. Really beautiful and interesting.
Other than that I’ve basically been listening to Hov on repeat.
1980 - Donny Hathaway - In Performance
Absolutley floored by his performances, the lack of respect from the audience was annoying though that couldn't take away from the emotion conveyed on stage. I gotta check out more of this man
1982 - Tatsuro Yamashita - ONLY YOU
Only thing that throws me is the filler near the end. Those little interludes throughout could be felt as filler also but they weren't bad and there is some differences. Super strong, clean postive vibes, nice for the season. Kawaii
1959 - Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
How many times a week am I playing this thing. Easy 10/10. It was the mono today
1966 - Alirio Díaz - 4 Siècles De Guitare Classique
Had to find something I could read to. Quietness wasn't possible. Reading Dostoevsky's The Idiot (Myer's translation), I recommend it to anyone even if you don't like reading like myself before I was encouraged to try this one. Also had chopin's nocturnes by barenboim playing for the read
These sound interesting, gonna keep em in mind for new music. I usually don’t listen to music while I read but it is tough to find the right thing.
Kind of Blue really never gets old. There’s times where I feel like it’s the greatest album ever made. Pet Sounds, The White Album, Highway 61 Revisited and MBDTF also come to mind. Kid A too.
4:44 (Bonus tracks)
The beat on We Family
that's such a perfect sample usage there. Adnis is the one
should've had a spot on the og tracklist.

one of my favorite parts of the whole album is that beat on we family

All fantasic albums, I have a particular love for Highway 61 Revisited, It's one of two LP jackets I have framed and hung on a wall, the other is Madlib's Blunted in the Bomb Shelter

Ocean is one of the best songs I've heard from this band.
Foggy Notion is a very upbeat and fun record I was jiving to that one as well.
Kinda lost me with the whimsical nature of the next song. Whoever was talking during that 'solo' needs to be stopped lol. Overall the album was a great listen and there's plenty to love about it esp the instrumentation
Ian from Fugazi and his wife Amy.
Great album, acoustic baritone guitar on here sounds amazing.
8.5/10
Industrial Sound Collage. Not for everyone but she was so ahead of her time. Anne's one of my go-to's for when I trip.
Would be dope to see some producers sample some of her material.
8/10
One of the few bands that stood out during the time New Wave was in the spotlight with their quirkinesses and fun pop punk like sound.
9/10
Bird Songs of a Killjoy (2019) - Bedouine
I heard this once and never really went back to it, but always appreciated the songwriting ability she has/expressed on this album.
Her voice is comforting and warm and perhaps the underrated gem from this year. I have to be in a certain mood to put this on but once I catch it nothing really comes close to it.
@pneumonia can you tell me more about the B-52s?

Don’t know much tbh, they are mostly new wave and they aren’t as well known as others due to how different they were when starting out.
First 2 albums are great but the others didn’t do much for me.
They have a song called “Rock Lobster” which is pretty well known, I’m sure you’ve heard it.
