Tuesday Feeling new fave
He changed his vibe, take back at five
My crew went live, your crew cant vibe
@Serenity
Charlie Puth aint really my cup of tea as a singer or artist but albums wasn't bad.
Mixing was clean as hell.
Plus songs like Attention was played to death on radio but it's really catchy
Done for me probably my favorite off the album.
tbh it was a solid listen
7.5/10
i am not certainly feeling this album no matter what situation im in, which is very surprising. as in the production, well, it gives off as a mix of semi lo-fi and hi-fi, former with the vocals, latter with some of the instruments, which would’ve been good, but she does it oddly. it’s just alright, nothing special popped out in front of me, 2nd chance is unlikely, 6.5/10
on a krautrock binge, need a 3rd wave krautrock revival, this is too much
there will be no exchange this week, sorry guys!
Gonna be extra busy in the coming weeks but we'll be back

SCHLAGENHEIM BY BLACK MIDI
suggested by @EuroNymous
I remember seeing this album around last year but I never bothered checking it out. A shame because I really enjoyed it. I tried to figure out what Schlagenheim meant and from what I could gather it means “home of the beat”, which is perfect for this raucous but extremely fun album. bmbmbm is crazy in a good way. I also really loved 953 and the title track.
This was the perfect example of great mixing because every track is drums and synths heavy but sounds good and is never grating even when the singer is yelling.
8/10

New Blue Hawaii is
jeez the albums swaps sorta petered out
will listen to those records i got recommended through

1st is a digital dancehall album with a female emcee, very manic. wild listen
2nd is a footwork album i'm sure some of you are familiar with, i've heard some songs from it, however i never gave the whole album a spin...it's cool, but it overstays its time

Been bumping the Nier: Automata soundtrack a lot lately, especially the slower, acoustic tracks. Keiichi Okabe is excellent at composing these gorgeous songs that are both soothing and melancholic.

First Weekend In October Listening Log
1. Savage Mode 2: it wasn’t the grimy dark beats i was expecting, but i thought it was a great project. will be listening to it more. (3.5/5)
2. WHO MADE THE SUNSHINE: surprise surprise, it’s the same exact thing as before. some great features and good songs, but at this point the production, flows, and layout of each gunn album are the exact same. aa rashad intro. griselda trio track. keisha plum track where she talks for too long. westside poodie. the posse cut track has nearly the same exact beat as euro step. i just feel like i’m getting tired of the same old same old from griselda and it feels like i’m getting fed the same thing every single month. it’s a good project. frank murphy, ocean prime, good night, ishkabibble’s, and the griselda cuts were nice. wtf was gunn’s hook on all praises (3.5/5)
3. A N N I V E R S A R Y: enjoyable and vibey r&b felt very similar to T R A P S O U L but missing the peaks that it did. a great fall and winter album. (3.5/5)
4. My Life 4Hunnid by YG: wasn’t as enjoyable as 4Real 4Real but i enjoyed it being a fun album. tracks like Blood Walk, Out on Bail, Swag, and FTP are very catchy. i know it’s not still brazy yg, but these tracks are so much fun. (3.5/5)
5. Gasanova by Yung Gravy: him talking about keeping a strap confused me cus he’s a suburban white man. some good bangers on here like the bbno$ tracks and the chief keef tracks, but it’s nothing too exciting (3/5)
6. VGM 5 and WT 16.8 by Knxwledge: my issue with knxwledge is how lazy a lot of his tapes have seemed to get, but these are quite nice. there’s a lot of good hip hop flips. i enjoyed tower on vgm and dior from wt. (3.5/5)
7. Power, Corruption, and Lies (Remastered) by New Order: a fantastic album but it sounds cleaner than ever. it’s like a 4K remaster to 2001. sounds phenomenal. (4.5/5
8. Blue Monday/The Beach (2020 Remaster) by New Order: read what i just said (5/5)
9. Keep Going by Larry June & Harry Fraud: laidback tracks with great features. nice to relax to. (3.5/5)
10. A Doctor, Painter, and An Alchemist Walk Into a Bar by Alchemist: there is way too many spoken word portions on this. feels like it’s more talking samples over beats than actual instrumentals. on the actual beats, they feel like throwaways that no one wanted. (3/5)
11. When It’s All Said and Done by Giveon: this guy can sing. wish the intro was longer. these tracks are beautiful (3.5/5)
12. Earth Crisis by Dirty Projector: the best ep by them so far this year. some fantastic experimentation on vocals and instrumentation. love the glitchy style on this and the glitchy orchestral melodies. best new release of the night (4/5)
13. Tape Tape by Lupe Fiasco: Lupe does a more melodic trap style pair of tracks. they sound cool, but they don’t really do too much for me (3/5)
14. Speed, Sound, and Lonely KV by Kurt Vile: some very elegantly crafted alt-country tunes. i enjoyed this (3.5/5)
15. candy II by louis the child: some fun electronic tracks. better than his last album (3.5/5)
16. Visions of Bodies Being Burned by clipping.: I really liked their last album, but I think overall this one has better tracks and is more enjoyable both are great (4/5)
17. Act II: The Patents of Nobility (the Turn) by Jay Electronica: oh my god. this would've been aoty in 2012. I didn't even listen I wasn't into music then, but it would've been great for the people who were. (4.5/5)
18. Drip or Drown by Gunna: i have not listened to this ep, but I enjoyed what I heard especially the title track (3.5/5)
19. DRN by Sam Gendel: it was cool i guess, but it didn't blow me away. (3/5)
20. What Kinda Music (Bonus Tracks) by Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes: Some excellent loosies from a great album from this year (3.5/5)
what i still need to hear that released this weekend: dusk by mxmtoon, rex orange live album, thunder jackson, saga of wiz (deluxe), new smoke dza, thutmoose ep, shamir, eartheater, brent cobb, dj plead, and the gizzard bandcamp release

Let me know what you think of Shamir’s album. Im on the fence after the last one. I cant handle being disappointed 2 times in a row so I’d rather not listen
