its one of them for sure!
Submitted. First ones that came to mind were either too obvious or weren't albums I actually liked very much
Apollo XXI - Steve Lacy
this was one of my most anticipated of last year and i hyped myself up like Steve was about to drop a frank ocean tier album
he didn't, and because of my own hype i remember being super disappointed and not even going back to any songs on here
with that being said, i'm so glad you picked this
this s*** is so smooth and i cant believe i hated it on first listen
my only problem is the long songs with beat switches where there is literaly 0 need too, and it just sounds uneven
7.5/10
favourite songs: Basement Jack, Hate CD, N Side
Hey why is the thread unstickled?

I didn't listen to a lot of 80's music, this is my first Sting / The Police album so I came with no expectations
So this is like s***music like if I wanted to smash in the 80's this is what I'd put on, very smooth and sweet
I like the more jazzy songs, however some of these sound "too 80's" like the production sounds really outdated (happened to a lot of 80's pop records)
There are some great songs here to vibe to (and maybe play around my parents too) and some songs that sound straight off a casino lounge (not bad, just not my thing)
Favorite songs: Be Still My Beating Heart, Englishman In New York, Fragile, Sister Moon
P.S. "Be yourself no matter what they say" ❤️
P.S.S. forgot to say I don't really like the reggae songs either

Englishman is reggae but I liked it it’s cool
I liked it cutting to those 80s drums for a minute there and then going back to the song that s*** was lit
