Available everywhere. I hope you enjoy it.
I get to listen to uncle Thom
I’ll probably fall into a Radiohead hole and listen to few of their albums
Liv.e
Spotify put me on. She's amazing.
I'll do the album exchange next week. Life's been busy
Wouldn't consider myself a stan but I am a pretty big fan of TVU, especially both of the self titled records. Never bothered checking out these live records even though TVU has a reputation for being good performers and having performances that transform the studio versions into something pretty different. On top of that I generally prefer studio versions of my favorite bands because there's a clarity that's often missing in the live recordings.
Really loved how transformative White Light/White Heat was here, turned into such a beautiful jam session in the 2nd half
. Even Pale Blue Eyes which wasn't changed much if at all from the studio version had a warmth to it which the live recording actually helped with. Also Lou doing I'll be Your Mirror
Other Favs: Heroin (version from Vol. 2), Lisa Says, Rock and Roll
7.5-8/10
Sorry for being so late, getting back into the school grind is tuff :(

Glad you liked it somewhat. Usually don't listen to live recordings either, but there's some where it definitely clicks for me. Songs getting a (little) transformation definitely helps with that. Was also the case for Alice in Chains I imagine where they kill it on Unplugged (been spinning that one a few times more
). No need to apologise for being late, I appreciate the write up a lot
Good luck with school.
@Demons
what's crazy is i've heard songs from this album but never the album in totality.
Amazing man. That intro
Georgia is probably my favorite on the album.
Stay High
and this right here

Album gives me Raphael Saadiq and D'angelo vibes
damn this easily one of the best albums of last year
9/10 on first listen
shout out to @Soupvillain
this thread is amazing and a godsend putting me onto so much music I missed and never heard

Georgia is also a highlight for me.
The production of Stay High
I love the whole album, I had it on every evening last Fall. I think my favorite track is Tomorrow. The song goes to so many different amazing places.
I also love the storytelling of Goat Head and the fact it was based on a real story

I need to see more people collaborate with Brittany. Alabama Shakes is such a great band surprised I missed her solo album. Thanks man
Idk how I missed this project since I've always enjoyed thoughts raps.
As always he's on top form as an emcee, so many lines that I need to unpack so I'll need to sit with this a bit further.
Production was also engaging and complemented his raps well, I was more worried about that being a snoozefest but Salaam did his thing.
not sure yet but I really like it/10

that Fentanyl intro is nasty
Trust me, I'm deadly as the Fentanyl that killed Prince and Tom Petty 😭
why did he have to go so hard?

glad you're finding new stuff to listen to!
ty for taking part too, this goes out to all y'all <3 it would just be dope idea without the people to execute it.
Not as important to me as their debut but still very fun. Hard not to have a smile on when listening to it
$ilkmoney - Attack of the Future Shocked, Flesh Covered, Meatbags of the 85.
Great album, great message, but ruined by the bullshit conspiracy stuff. I can't respect your political message if you seriously think covid is fake and 5g is an actual issue. If you can get past those lines then it'll probably be one of your favorite rap releases of the year.
@Soupvillain Idea for theme
Album covers which are a color (red, blue, pink, etc)
An artist/band’s debut or final album
