What Lupe doesn't understand is that guys like Kendrick and Cole came out at the right time to really blow up off of conscious rap. Lupe came a bit too early.

He was still big, but if we're talking about the kinda big that Kendrick and Cole got off TPAB and FHD, Lupe was literally already in his 30s and was already on his fifth album.

Lupe holding all this resentment towards Kendrick is corny, especially since timing has more to do with it than anything.

Also Lupe dropped Lasers which was ass, and called the most likeable president in recent history a terrorist. He wasn't wrong, but what the f*** did he think that was gonna do to his career trajectory?
