I’ll never understand the “give us more pay”. Out of maybe 50 teachers at our HS, I maybe met 2 who wanted to be teachers. The rest were literal dog s*** that couldn’t make it in their professions & take it out on kids. “Yeah I got an MSc in Biology. That’s why I’m teaching grade 8 science.” Like go f*** yourself you loser.
Professors are a different story. While I still think they’re pompous s***s, they usually are subject matter experts in their domain, and are passionate about their fields.
Higjer pay = more people would want to be teachers = better teachers

Agree with all that except cameras in the classroom. It's schools in the hood that feel and treat students like its a jail already.

Maybe if we gave them more pay we would get more people better qualified for the job. Why would anyone that’s brilliant and has a valuable skill set want to work for 30k a year when they could take any number of other jobs with their talents?

The Twitter comments seem to be taking issue with the Clark County school board directly, accusing them of covering up violence that’s occurring in their schools on a regular basis
