it's just disingenous to claim something of equal value or level when you know it's a child-laboured 8 dollar piece of fabric compared to a piece of clothing made at a fair wage in the US/EU

same goes for movies, things can be fun and nice to watch, entertaining even, but when you drill down to the meat of the story or the actual things the movie aims to achieve, it comes down to cheap ways to trigger emotions without any deeper reasoning behind it other then giving people a dopamine hit

Well yes what we are arguing is opinions regarding what qualities make an entertaining movie.

But there is evidence of the takeover of the MCU model as we can point to historical changes regarding what movies get big budgets now and the lack of originality in the blockbuster market and the movie market at large.

This I agree with, they’ll complain yet it’s always the remakes reboots & sequels to make money. Even when we finally get an original IP they hit us with sequels & reboots like Die Hard, Terminator, Bourne

At the same time a lot of these movies even the cinema movies are based on books anyway

They can and do tell us what to not like and what’s not canon

Basically cinema became a gateway for people who don't read books

Holy crap the writing is atrocious these days. I suspect its cause hedge funds own all the big studios now and have everything watered everything down for american viewers.

They all sound like they are written by an AI that learned from watching movies of people talk versus studying how people actually communicate in real life.
