There’s an emotional love story here that’s wrapped in the meta themes

That s*** was dope. Would have loved to see Hugo Weaving in that scene….

What if the actual point of this movie is to prove lovers of the film are trapped in a “matrix”

That even if you purposely give them something bad they’ll defend it and find any reason to like it and use against ppl who dislike it (as the film was intended to be disliked apparently)

It’s funny the people ITT who like this film are praising the hell out the first hour when actuality the second hour is way better.

I’m sorry the whole “making fun of sequels/the matrix” isn’t as clever as y’all think especially when the second half basically turns into a typical sequel.

Ehhhhh no, if anything, it’s the other way around.

Blue Pilled people want to be coddled with endless remakes of Hollywood classics from the past. They want a new matrix movie with god-like Neo, bullet-time action scenes, and the green tinted 1999 matrix that we all know & love.

Red Pilled people have accepted that we can’t remake the Matrix trilogy, and rebooting the franchise is impossible.

Which is why Lana didn’t take the cash-grab route of Matrix 1: Remake (like Star Wars Force Awaken), and instead spent most of the movie clowning on RESURRECTING old franchises.

But it can go either way….

I get saying the action is bad but the entire movie is bad is missing the point that it literally is called binary for a reason.

It is a very love it or hate it movie

It’s easy to say “oh I purposely made this movie suck” as a way to try and escape criticism. Truth is no artist creates something with the intent to make it bad. Take your “rEd PiLlS” and stop falling for BS.

Parts of the second half do make fun of the sequels too though........
