I know they clearly didnt want to overuse it but one truly heady fight with no screaming or force push would have slapped

Kenau old yeah but does john wick but its like who the f*** wants to see him go full john wick and the new actors and everyone else be fighting like normal humans

I enjoyed the story way more than what I anticipated. I even thought the side characters were cool for the most part.

Side characters were cool but I think they all deserved a back story scene placed somewhere throughout the movie because Neos goal is the same as before and to break it up a lil some how so that in the end we feel the stakes a lil more. Like the cast of Matrix 1 didnt have back stories too much but they had a lil more than all revolve around Neo but I think again the fact they were all Neo fans was part of point

I think she purposefully removed all the marketability that came from the style and aesthetic of the original trilogy.

She made it uncool in the most fashionable way.

Neo can’t do s\*\*\* anymore, can’t fly, and doesn’t even pick up a gun. That tells you everything you need to know.

I think y'all are forgetting they said they will only do a sequel if she wants to. so all this "OMG DENIS VISUALS GET SNYDER OMG GET NOLAN OMG GET DIRECTOR OF LOKI " is just like did y'all hear the rollout and watch the movie? If she doesnt want to make sequels they wont be made likely. Could they do things in future? Yes but did she specifically make an ending that kind of writes them into a hole or better for animatrix 2, comics or games rather than more movies? Yes. Did she leave it in a spot where even if everyones favorite director said "imma fix the matrix and wolves" would hesitate to even pick it up ? Yes. She didnt give even the greatest director in the world an easy layup and that was purposeful

Then some people be like "so she made a bad film on purpose or she stole the money " or all this other s*** and its like no the cost of filming in San francisco in a pandemic and germany added up. They were originally going to film in chicago too as well as Kenau and Carrie which had box office based deals which with hbo max shift didnt get the exclusive bonus that patty jenkins and zionist idf barbie got.

So if Weaving, Bill Pope, Don Davis, Laurence Fishburne all came back budget would be hit even more. WB is fine with losses on superhero side cause they got fans either way but not everyone going to theaters for a matrix 4 even in a non pandemic and lana knows that because the entire plot was resolved in 3 so the movie kind of ask " y'all want these characters to have more despair and conflict but why"
