Yea. Im just messing with him. If he likes it thats dope. Me personally I was hype as s*** when it was announced then saw the trailers and was like wait…then saw interviews on the difference in feel and “lighter tone” and I was like waaiiiitt……then the ign 4/10 dropped and I was like WAAAAIIIIT. IGN THE BIGGEST DISHONEST REVIEWERS GAVE THIS BISH A 4 after being involved with the premiere!! Oh thats has to be mid. And I was right. Lol.

Just finished it. These are my thoughts:

So the dialogue actually wasnt as bad as I expected. The very beginning I went from ah s*** this about to be a s*** show to alright alright this not bad at all.

Beginning and the world building was surprisingly good and I loved how tripped out and confused I was at first. Matrix og vibes in the start. The meta part deserves a thread on ktt on its own.

Dont like this agent smith. He was like an actor you would see on the OC or one tree hill. Agent smith such an iconic villain and they missed the mark completely with casting this guy.

Did not like NPH in this. All his scenes felt mad corny. Couldnt take him seriously. I like him in funny s*** but he has that kevin hart kind of acting where I can never take him seriously.

Neo did not seem powerful. This was a beta meta Neo.

The villains in this are horrendous. I never felt like they were truly in danger. Gave me DC on Cw villain vibes.

Action scenes werent that bad, but lacked a certain flair the trilogy had.

Blue hair girl was my fave character shes dope af. Cant remember her name. Really liked her overall. Kind of wish she had a better backstory though. They couldve given her her own spinoff anime or something.

Didnt like the resurrection explanation at all. Felt super forced

Trinity parts were corn.

It was just okay to me. A little better than I had expected, but was very mid..the weakest of the matrix films by far. I didnt need this film, but it was alright man. The nostalgia dopamine hits. Def made me want to go back to watch the ogs again.

Felt like the magic was just missing though. There werent any wow moments like the classic car chase or bullet time dodge in the first one with the crazy camera pan or Neo flying for the first time.

Overall it felt like a made for tv version of the matrix with the humour and more commercialized aesthetic, but some of the deeper tones and meta plot points I feel are connected to Lanas personal life and the history of the matrix movies, were pretty cool and interesting, especially in the first half of the film. Second half def wasnt good.

This movie is kind of like a love letter to the matrix fandom and I can see the connection to Lana and all that.

I can admit it wasnt as bad as I expected, but it also was not Matrix level in my opinion.

I was going to give this a 6/10 halfway through, but then the rushed, weirdly paced, and pretty much unenjoyable 3 act brought it back down for me.

I’ll give this a mix of my initial feelings to the trailers and the ign 4/10

And my 1st half rating of 6/10

Its a 5/10 for me guys.

I didnt hate it, but I will never watch this again.

I share a lot of these same thoughts.

1st half had me very intrigued, 2nd half didn't do much for me at all

I'll give it another watch though
