Mans literally died and got his eyes removed, lost his memory and they upset he doesnt have his same exact power level

when his true power level didnt come until

1. he believed he was the one
2. Trinity kiss
3. Trinity fully loved him and it was clear to him

Neo wasnt s*** before those 3 things so if he has 0 recollection of them then you have to think about who he was before he believed in himself, the kiss or he realized trinity loved him

How is it hard to understand for people Neo is not a fixed person, within or without the Matrix. He has a goofy side like all of us. The first Matrix just happened at a time of his depressed adolescent stage

we are now less than 24 hours from HBO MAX release. After peeking at reviews and poking in here. Then I am out til after I watch it . Its been such a long road. I cant believe reviews drop in 7 hours. I am at work now. I am curious to see how it lands not cause I care about reviews but because unfortunately the tomato meter will decide whether some even press play on an app they are already subscribed to. Same way Spider Man had everyone discussing and making jokes would be nice to see that with the Matrix. Do I think the box office gonna do gangbusters with omicron, it being on max and pirated? No. But I do hope the movie leads to discussions we otherwise wouldnt have

I thought about that just now

Seeing how the Spiderman spoiler thread did huge numbers but the Matrix one didn’t…

My estimation is that at first glance most people will either be Matrix fans who are disappointed for it not adhering to what “they thought the franchise was about” and partially younger people who are new to the movie and don’t see the immediate action-based/thrilling appeal of the story

But that’s okay, cause like any good book, artpiece or theory teaches us. The true test of it all is the test of time. And with that said, the criticism, however bad at the moment it may be, will probably subside eventually and make way for a newfound culturally marked appreciation for a director who never let popular opinion or culture dictate her work and decisions

But if this some how gets certified fresh at 10am tomorrow I am shedding real nigga tears

I am interested to see how meta is meta and if I will continuously see the hidden message that often lies in her work. Cause the fact that many reviewers are saying immediately "this needs and demands a rewatch or many rewatches" is a sign that each watch I will learn more
