One Take News has learned that Hugo Weaving is slated to appear in the forthcoming sequel, however, this will be a very limited role. We were told he will appear in flashbacks to The Matrix, The Matrix: Reloaded and The Matrix: Revolutions. They were described to us as “quick flashes”and it’s all archive footage. To dig deeper, we were told these quick flashes would be paralleling whatever happens in Resurrections. Just to give an example of how this’ll work, it’s like if someone says a line Smith said in the original trilogy, it’ll cut to Smith saying that line.
