i'm trying to remember what the general reaction was to the shift from BTD to Ultraviolence's sound...I know critically it was received better but with the fans I'd assume it was split. it's true her production has gotten stripped down since then, particularly on Honeymoon. But I like the place her and Jack found on NFR. I think Lana's melodies and songwriting is strong enough to allow the setting to be subtle when it calls for it.
