there's another part about music in general we should consider when talkin about any artist/album and that is how each individual feels about it and the headspace each listener is in

for example...when I was listening to Lust For Life it was all I played all summer after coming home from the beach and it was the perfect bop along with great memories

BTD was what got me into her music and even influenced my sense of style and even though I've overplayed it to the point of no return it's still one of my fav albums oat

that was originally my least favorite on that album, but man, it grew to become one of my favorites as well. i know the exact feeling you're talking about i love it!

This is by far, my favorite and a top 5 lana song for me as well.

It almost feels like a last hurrah from the golden era

the cheerleader chants in the chorus gives real born to die vibes

the album was originally intended to go deeper in that style, so imagine how bummed out i was when it stagnated halfway through with typical sadgirl lana? :( i hate the fact that i listened so much to the singles before the release of the album. it spoiled things for me and had my expectations way too high

BtD had so many songs which could be commercial friendly.

Always surprised me they didn’t use Dark Paradise earlier or Radio.

I don't play leaks or singles before a rollout that much because it always spoils the album for me, especially when you skip the album cuts that sound just as good but you just wanna hear s*** similar to the singles.

That happened to me with Heaven to a Tortured Mind by Yves Tumor, I overplayed those singles and now I can barely play the album

Dumb peeve but I never liked her voice on BTD.

First got into Lana when she dropped LFL but it came and went for me ngl til summer 2019 and I fell in love with her whole discog (lol except btd). I just love the way her music paints California 🥺

i should've learned from my experience with mbdtf. i used to play the f*** out of the good friday songs and by the time the album came out i felt like i heard half of it and thew freshness wasn't there at all. i was so bummed out. to this day that album isn't even in my top 5 ye albums
