Young DSo I’ve been going through her whole discography one album a week for the past couple weeks and it’s my first time really going through her music sequentially like this
Gotta say I was pretty blown away. I’ve always loved her albums when I listen when a new one drops. But listening to them collectively for the first time was kinda mind blowing. Really put it in perspective just how gifted she is, and how extremely consistent the quality of her work is — right up there with The National and Beach House for most consistent album quality in the last decade or two. Born to Die would be the only one where I’d say the quality of the lyrics is a bit inconsistent quality wise. The range of diversity in her music was also extremely surprising.
