77 f***ing minutes
Gonna listen to this on my commute
Hoping for one or two Ultraviolence type moments
“Even the 14 year old knew Froggy Went A-Courtin, how do my blood relatives know all these songs” is a funny line
Album lacks memorable melodies, production/composition is muted and boring on most of the songs. Just not an enjoyable listen for me. Or something that I’ll ever go back to.
Songwriting (lyrically) is A+ and if this is relatable music for somebody then I can see that person loving the album based off that.
I’m always waiting for another Born to Die from Lana and I realize I will never get it and she’s making personal albums for herself but I’m tired of being disappointed.
well said
To those who have given it a listen, how do you feel about the new album?
Her best one! Woohoo! Lana time!
Arguably her best. Long time massive fan of hers and she just gets better as an artist every f***ing album. A song like Fingertips is simply a perfect showcase of just how far she’s come with her writing, and feeling comfortable enough to put it. We wouldn’t have been able to get that from her even 3 albums ago

see, thats kind of how i felt with blue banisters
it certainly wasnt bad by any means, but the atmosphere was just way too subdued and laid back for my liking, in spite of her writing obviously being top tier as usual
ill spin this prob sometime next week

this has gotta be one of her best songs in her discog, wouldve loved an album of these

yeah, i loved chemtrails for the most part, it was a nice balance of ballads with some synth interplay, it felt like the instrumentals developed and swelled with her lyrics etc. it was just overall dynamic and fairly interesting
blue banisters kinda threw all that s*** out the window !
